Since 1885 and six generations, the Bougrier family has been working towards the recognition of Loire Valley Wines and is recognised today as one of the last family Houses covering the whole of the Loire Valley, from Nantes to Sancerre. This wine is made from a single grape variety: Cabernet franc known as "Breton".
Terroir: The vines, located in the Vienne Valley, are planted in sand and gravel soils. These soils give fruity and light wines. Made up of clay and limestone, they create deep wines, suitable for long ageing.
Vinification: The wine is kept under marc for 10 to 20 days. In vats or barrels, the wine goes through the stage of malolactic fermentation. This chemical transformation allows a decrease in acidity.
