Niečo o výrobcovi

Bought in 1970 by the Bertrand family, Villemajou Estate is located in the hinterland in Boutenac in the Corbières. Orbiting some of the finest terroirs of Languedoc Roussillon, the Gérard Bertrand wines are part of tradition and innovation.

Viticulture: The vineyard is mainly planted 130 hectares in Carignan and Syrah with some older plots of over 100 years old. The house seeks to preserve its soils with wine farming practices, that are organic and biodynamic.

Vinification: On the one hand, Carignan and Syrah grapes are vinified in whole carbonic maceration, 10-18 days. On the other hand, Grenache and Mourvèdre are vinified in traditional maceration after destemming, 15 to 20 days. Finally, the wine is put in barrels for a period of 10 to 12 months.
