The Orval Brewery is located in the Abbey of Orval. It has been funded in 1931 to finance the enormous work site of the rebuilding of Orval. It hired employee, including the first master brewer, Pappenheimer, the creator of the recipe of this beer’s elaboration.
Since, the Orval beer has become a real reference in the world, popular thanks to its bitterness and fruitiness.

• Manufacturing: The hop used has been carefully chosen, it is locally produced.  To elaborate this beer, the hop has been subjected to 3 separated fermentations. The Abbey is located near the Mathilde Fountain that delivers an extremely pure water that the brewery uses to produce the Orval beer.
   
• Food and beer pairing: The Oval beer can be taste with a fish soup or a cheese. It will perfectly associates with a chocolate mousse.
