Its garnet color offers an open nose on woody notes, toasted then black fruit coulis with a hint of pepper. On the palate, it has a supple attack, with a nice balance on cocoa and licorice.

Managed by Yannick Gay since 1979, the Château Tour Prignac stands among the largest Medoc vineyards. Les Hauts de Tour Prignac is the domain second wine.
 

• Terroir: Spread across 300 hectares, the domain has over 147 vines with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, and malbec as the main grape varieties. The soil is made of clay, limestone and gravels. Each hectare has 7200 plants.

• Viticulture: The harvests are mechanically made.

• Vinification: In the vat room, the winemaking process is handled plot-by-plot. The youngest plots are worked in priority. Grapes are subjected to an extremely quick malolactic fermentation in thermo-regulated tanks. The wine ages for 6 months is oak barrels. Eric Boissenot, Château Latour and Château Margaux oenologist, share his savoir-faire with the domain since 2008.
