Powerful wine with potential

This golden wine releases floral fragrances such as rose standing alongside fruity fragrances reminding candied yellow fruits. In mouth, it is well-balanced and enveloping. It perfectly allies sweet and fruity tastes. The finish is full of freshness, featuring first floral notes and then showing a spiced side.

Founded in 1810 by Nicolas Schlumberger, this family estate operates 140 hectares of vine-yards of which 70 hectares classified Grand Cru on 4 terroirs: Kitterlé, Kessler, Saering and Spiegel.

• Terroir: Located on vertiginous slopes of Guebwiller, south of Alsace, with slopes of 50 ° and an altitude of 250 to 380 meters, 29 hectares of vineyards are devoted to Kessler that evolves on a sandy soil.

• Viticulture: The vineyard is led by rational control and, since 2006, 30 hectares are biody-namic. The harvest is manual and take place at nearly overripeness.

• Vinification: The fermentation is carried out in thermoregulated barrels, from 1 to 4 months. The wine is then aged on lees for 8 months.
