Founded in the 17th century, the Château Peyros is the domain located the most in the south of de designation Madiran. Peyros means “stony place” in the Gascon language. It defines the exceptional terroir of this vineyard, from the Pyrenean moraines, the clay-loam soil is very dense in pebbles rolled by glaciers.

• Terroir: To elaborate this wine, 5 out of 22 hectares has been cultivated. The soil is constituted of rolled pebbles and a sandy-loamy subsoil.
   
• Viticulture: The vines are 40 to 50 years old on average. The method of reasonned agriculture is used in order to have the best expression of the terroir and to safeguard biodiversity. The organic input is natural, composed exclusively of manure of a flock of 300 ewes that roam the vineyard from October to April.
  
  
• Wine-making: It is made in a traditional way. The barrel fermentation is 20 days long. The wine rests for 12 months.
