Dark garnet colour with brick tints, opaque and glossy. Open nose with notes of coffee, roasted wood and menthol, hints of roasted plum and nutmeg. Supple attack, satiny tannins, tension, greediness, character on strawberry gratin, caramel and black pepper. Sapid, roasted finish, good balance, persistence on fruity and roasted notes.

Since 1730, the Clairac family, owner of the Château Haut Mont Saint Fort, passes on its savoir-faire since 5 generations. The property is located on the biggest European subsoil network of pre-historical gallery.

 

• Terroir: The vineyard is situated on a large plateau made of clay and limestone.
